Most local moves are charged hourly or on a clear fixed quote basis depending on your property size and inventory. A one-bedroom unit usually takes 3–4 hours and a three-bedroom house 6–8 hours. Interstate moves and office relocations are quoted as a fixed price so you know the total up front.

We charge a single, clearly stated travel fee based on your suburb — never a surprise depot-to-depot amount added after the job. Your written quote shows the hourly rate, the travel charge and the minimum hours before you book.

JJ Movers carries public liability cover and all crews are trained in correct handling and wrapping. Goods-in-transit and full-value protection can be added to any booking — just ask when you request your quote and we will include the cost in writing.

Yes. We sell quality cartons, wardrobe boxes, butchers paper, bubble wrap and tape, and can deliver them before moving day. Blankets, trolleys, straps and shrink wrap for furniture are always included free with your truck.

For weekends and the end of the month, book 2–3 weeks ahead. Mid-week and mid-month dates are usually available with a few days' notice, and we keep slots aside for same-day and emergency moves whenever we can.

Request a quote online or call us. Once you are happy with the written price, confirm by reply and we reserve the crew and truck for your date. You will receive a confirmation with your arrival window and a short preparation checklist.

Yes. Changes and cancellations made more than 48 hours before your booked time are free. Inside 48 hours we may charge a small fee if we cannot refill the slot, and we will always tell you before applying it.

It happens constantly. Call us as soon as you know and we will move your booking to the new date at no charge. If you need short-term storage while dates shift, we can collect and hold your furniture in the meantime.

Our trucks need a clear space close to the entrance. In inner suburbs and the CBD you may need a council permit or a booked loading zone — tell us your address and we will advise what is required.

Be fully packed and sealed, empty and defrost the fridge, disconnect appliances, keep pathways clear, and set aside anything travelling in your own car. That is it — we handle the rest.
